This is video taken of the 39th and final launch of Space Shuttle Discovery from Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 4:53pm on February 24, 2011. The footage was shot from the NASA press site only three miles from launch pad 39A. The camera was mounted atop a still camera with which I was tracking the launch however a SNAFU occurred with that camera and I had to correct the problem as the shuttle was climbing. This resulted in a loss of the shot for a second or two but I left it in because I wanted to share the sight and SOUND of the launch with you. TURN UP THE VOLUME!
