Every year the city of Campulung Moldovenesc organises a folklore festival. This year I attended because of some issues I had to take care of that required me to be in Campu sooner than usual. Normally I avoid the hot Summer in Romania and Bulgaria/ Eastern Europe. Then I remain in the Netherlands, and can go to Romania and Bulgaria when it's getting colder here.. and may still be warm there. I enjoyed the ensemble... I would have like to also listen to the Sirin ensemble - Сирин ансамбля from Russia...singing Orthodox music as sung by the people in the Middle Ages. Very colourfull and cheerful. Far more cheerful than what we usually hear. You can listen to them in video's in my playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5B426BF5CC2FCA0E The qualities of this Ukrainian vocal ensemble "SPRUCE" - Народный самодеятельный вокальный ансамбль "Смеричка" - may be as much the singing as the appearance of the beauties, as ambassadors of Ukraina, in their costume..not so much the showing of legs, as the dress and appearance... Making many men's hearts beat faster... They sing in Romanian as well as in Ukrainian, being from an area that was robbed from Romania after WW II, as punishment for their stand with Germany, and given to Ukraine.
