My name is Alecto Savage. I’m a Senator with the Trade Union, representing the Cheapskate Bay region. Some of you may remember me from the exploration of the DeeCee ruins. As you likely know, the Trade Union has declared a formal blockade against any Wasteland settlement continuing to participate in the absolutely vile practice of slavery. According to our ledger, any settlement that upholds slavery, stands with slavers, or is found to be harboring their ilk has their currency valued at zero, and worthless in the eyes of the Trade Union. Any settlement who is not openly with us is considered to be against us. But I wanted to take the time to address you all and assure you: we are not so short sighted as to hinder those making changes, no matter where they are happening geographically. As long as the people of a settlement stand with us in zero tolerance for slaving, we will honor that settlement’s currency. For instance, the fine folks in Gatorland opposing the rule of the Rat Trap, and the brave souls in Steel Horse Crossing who are battling against the Iron Works. You are fighting at the front lines, and the Trade Union applauds you for it. No matter where you are, if you’re fighting this good fight, thank you for your hard work.
