Meenakshi started her acting career with a short film Madhura Nombaram directed by Akhil S Kiran.[3] She made her film debut in Arun Kumar Aravind's 1 by Two (2014), though her scenes were not included in the film. She then went on to act in 1000: Oru Note Paranja Katha, Jamna Pyari, and Aana Mayil Ottakam, all of which released in 2015.[3] She made her breakthrough portraying Fathima (Pathu/Pathumma) in Amar Akbar Anthony (2015).[5][better source needed] International Business Times stated about her performance, "The child artist has been receiving amazing responses from the audience and is undoubtedly loved by everyone for her innocent and natural acting."[2] She also received the Asianet Film Award for Best Child Artist for her performance.[6] She acted in the Priyadarsan movie Oppam,[7] as Nandhini kutty and signed on to act in upcoming films such as Zacharia Pothen Jeevichirippundu and Kanbathu Poi, the latter of which is a Tamil film. Top Singer is an Indian Malayalam-language reality television singing competition show broadcast on Flowers, created and directed by sindhu sreedhar,The show features 22 contestants all under the age of 15. Esther Anil hosted the show for the first 49 episodes. After co-hosting the 50th episode with Baby Meenakshi, Meenakshi took over as the sole host. M. G. Sreekumar, Deepak Dev, Madhu Balakrishnan and Anuradha Sreeram ,forms the permanent judging panel, with guest musicians, singers or composers. Top Band is the orchestra of the show. Flowers Top Singer season 1 successfully completed 500 episodes.[1] Seethalakshmi Prakash from Kottayam won the title of "Top Singer" Season 1.[2] Rituraj and Ananya Dinesh was elected by the viewers as the most popular contestants.
