Nifty Futures closed the day with mild gains at 16,551 higher by 33 points up 0.2%. Amongst sectors, automobiles, banks, cement, media and telecom were the laggards. Breadth of the market continued to underperform the benchmarks, 103 F&O stocks closed weak Vs 62 gainers. In news were strong earnings from Amara raja batteries, BPCL, Hero Motocorp, Petronet LNG and weak earnings from Sun TV and Ashok Leyland. 4 IPOa listed today- Devyani International, Krsnaa Diagnostics Windlass and Exxaro.
