CONCOR's shares hit an intraday low of 6% after the company's management announced a new capex of Rs 8,000-10,000cr. Analysts suggest that the negative impact on the stock is due to capital allocation policy. An unexpected announcement and an unwarranted decision have been taken. Company has already spent Rs 4,000cr in past 5 years and there has been no clarity on returns from capex. This capex will be in addition to the one-time payment towards Land License Fee (to be resolved soon, as per the management). This means debt raise for this purpose. The company is undergoing divestment as well.
