While stating that his character of 'Pushkar Nath Pandit' in the film 'The Kashmir Files' is a tribute to his father, the senior actor wrote, 'From to ; Once upon a time, there was a boy called . His father was a clerk whose name was . Bittu worked very hard and became an actor called . He continued to work hard and in 38 years did films. Then came along a film called about the genocide of . He was given the lead role in it. He gave this film literally his blood and soul and decided to name the character as a tribute to his father and lakhs of other who were the victims of horrible & senseless violence of terrorists.' He further added, 'The pain, truth, and tragedy of victims connected with the world. People made it their own tragedy all over the world. Bittu’s film is a roaring success today. From a clerk’s son to a member of the club at 67 is what dreams are made of. This is called the ultimate . Jai Ho! Thank you and everybody for making it possible! .' Apart from this heartfelt note, he also shared a few snaps of him in his Pushkar Nath avatar, and the poster of 'The Kashmir Files', showing that the film has entered the 200-crore club. Notably, Anupam Kher is garnering immense love and appreciation from the audience for his acting in the film. Meanwhile, speaking about 'The Kashmir Files', the film is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley in the 90s. The film, helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, has taken the nation by storm with its realistic storyline.
