BAND Name：the hills ■Band Profile■ 2004年に高校時代の同級生が集まり結成。結成当初はPIXIES、At the drive in等のオルタナティブロックからの影響を強く感じさせたが、「何をやってもヒルズになる」という事に気づいてからは、ポストパンク、ニューウェーブ、AOR、ファンク等様々な音楽の美味しいところを拝借し、独自のポップを鳴らす事が最大の強みになっている。ライブではバラエティーに富んだ楽曲達を、時にエッジーに突き放すように、ある時にはセンチメンタルに自虐的に、またある時にはグループがフロアを揺らす為に鳴らされる。これまでに自作のデモ音源を会場で販売し、大手レコード会社からの注目も浴びつつ、今回、満を持してEVOL RECORDSよりシングルをリリース！また地元新潟でのワンマンを皮切りに全国ツアーも決定！ A rock band from a new generation formed in 2004 with the friends of the same high school from Niigata Japan. At the beginning of their career, they were influenced by bands like the PIXIES, At the drive in but ever since they found out their own style as "the hills", they have featured various sounds such as post punk, new wave, AOR, and funk mixing them all together in their own way. At their shows they put out their songs sometimes in an edgy aggressive way, and other times they can be sentimental and masochistic or they can even turn the smallest venues to a dance hall.
