He set up a small stall with nothing but a big matka full of creamy desserts in one of the narrow lanes. He had only two flavours- plain doodh and kesar pista. Later, his son Mohan Lal took over the business and tried to expand by introducing different varieties of flavoured kulfi like apple, pomegranate, orange, mango and more.
