Ecotasia's video: Brachiosaurus isn t in Jurassic Park Giraffatitan is

@Brachiosaurus isn't in Jurassic Park, Giraffatitan is
This is not a brachiosaurus, this is a giraffatitan. This is a brachiosaurus, completely different. Now they might be closely related genera that once were considered to be the same thing when this particular depiction was cemented in the media, but not the same dinosaur at all. Heads. Different. Tails. Different. Feet. The Jurassic park ones are just wrong. The posture. Not sure about either. brachiosaurus should have slightly splayed out front legs, unlike giraffatitan which held their front legs directly underneath the body. Different. So does it matter that Jurassic park used to depict brachiosaurus, but today because of changes in how dinosaurs are classified this is a depiction of giraffatitan? Well, I can probably go on and on about scientific inaccuracies in Jurassic Park until a different geological epoch, but that is also kind of dumb, being over critical of a movie from the early 1990s, glosses over the incredibly positive influence jurassic park has had on getting kids into science and also changed how the public sees dinosaurs. Without this depiction people would probably still think long-necks lived in swamps. Footage from Jurassic World Evolution 2 and Prehistoric Kingdom sources 1.Taylor, M.P. (2009). Welcome to Ecotasia! On this channel you can find wildlife footage and short documentaries on the natural world. I am an early career biologist who was inspired by the likes of the BBC Natural History unit, PBS, and Animal Planet as a child and then more recently by various nature YouTube channels to share my love for animals and nature. My goal is to document and highlight the interesting ecology and behavior of organisms I encounter, as well as cover and elucidate conservation and biological topics.
