Loud bird calls come from abandoned buildings, however the sound is not coming from the flock of birds around the structure, the sound is from speakers, which attracts swiftlets. The nests of certain swiftlets, made entirely out of the bird’s saliva, are a delicacy in Chinese cuisine and are among the most expensive animal products. Protein rich and gelatinous, people traditionally collected wild swiftlet nests from the roofs of huge caves using rickety bamboo ladders, however with an ever growing demand a new method was devised. Create Artificial Caves out of special built structures or abandoned buildings, a more safe and sustainable option.
