Ed Hart's video: Weather Channel App Video Animated Text Effect

Hi, Ed here and there's an animated text effect that I see every time I look at videos on my Weather Channel app on my iPhone that I like and want to replicate for a project. This is a simple "reveal animation" where a line appears written on the screen and then text appears above then below the line making for a quick and stylish way to use text to enhance what's happening in the video. This is a pretty simple effect to create in After Effects, and one that is both really useful and a good exercise to learn some basic concepts in the program such as keyframes, the track matte function and the trim paths parameter.
