Edgar Fabián Frías's video: Ancestral Offering at Southern Exposure 2021

Artist Edgar Fabián Frías' Ancestral Offering took place on September 18, 2021 simultaneously as artist Jess Robbins performed Are You My Mother? at Southern Exposure in San Francisco, California. Frías' performance took place in front of their piece I Am Enough. I Am Sovereign., 2021, a previously exhibited billboard project which had been vandalized in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Within the context of this exhibition, Frías' Ancestral Offering is a performative ceremony with the intention of healing and the release of this violence.
