@Supreme Commander UEF Campaign Speedrun in 3:21:21
https://www.speedrun.com/supreme_commander I'm the first person to try to speedrun this game and at first I only wanted to do few missions but quickly fell in love with the gameplay and kept playing more. Obviously I trained each of the missions before to find a proper strategy, but still managed to beat my PBs on 5 out of 6 missions during this run. Pretty happy with the result, but I'm also sure this can still be improved by a lot. Maybe putting this video to public will make somebody else try this forgotten game :P The run was done on easy difficulty and I didn't do all of the optional targets, only the ones needed to the completion of the missions. The final time is the sum of times of each mission. It doesn't make sense to include menu/loading times and there is in game timer for every mission so it's better to just use it. Now the breakdown: Operation Black Earth Mission time: 00:11:43.00 Total time: 0:11:43.00 I improved my training time by 20 seconds thanks to quicker attack on the last base. For a moment I was scared that I will have to repeat it when the enemy commander started going deep back into the base, but luckily I still managed to do enough damage to take him off Operation Snow blind Mission time: 00:25:58.00 Total time: 0:37:41.00 Improved my training time here by 4 seconds even though I played much more safe. Pretty sure I can shave off 1 or 2 minutes if I attack last base with less forces. This will be much more risky and if you don't kill the enemy commander then there is no second chance. Operation Metal Shark Mission time: 00:25:55.00 Total time: 1:03:36.00 Somehow I improved my training time here by 25 seconds despite the fact that I got really unlucky with some enemy placements. Might be due to different building order at start, but I realy don't think it made so much difference. I got really scared that I won't be able to take enemy commander down here, few seconds more and all my air units would be dead. Operation Vaccine Mission Time: 00:38:16.00 Total Time: 1:41:52.00 Another 20 seconds improvement out of nowhere and it could be even more if I placed the 2nd radar correctly, costed me probably around a minute. Operation Forge Mission time: 00:18:33.00 Total time: 2:00:25.00 30 seconds improvement over my pb, thanks to the different strategy I didn't use before. Before I tried to take all 3 enemy nukes positions with my air forces, but this time I took down the first two with the ground units I start with. Because of that I overshot quite a bit with ammount of forces that I needed to take out last one, so it can probably be done much faster with earlier attack. Operation Stone Wall Mission time: 01:20:56.00 Total time: 3:21:21.00 Longest mission, but this is because of the giant defence sequence at the last part of the stage that you have to be prepared for. I went super safe here, because I clearly didn't want to lose after 3 hours of playing and that's why it took me 3 minutes more than on my PB :D Still unsure what's the best strategy to destroy aeon base, if I didn't have to spend so much time building nukes and the big artillery gun maybe I could focus on building the fatboys earlier. Being low on mass all the time also sucks, but I don't realy know how I could possibly avoid it
