Edness's video: Burnout Revenge Unreleased PS3 Port Gameplay

@Burnout Revenge Unreleased PS3 Port [Gameplay]
Here's something pretty cool that I've got for you - PS3 gameplay of Burnout Revenge. This game was only released on the PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360 and it was long speculated that Criterion never made a PS3 port of Burnout Revenge because by the time PS3 TOOLs (Devkits) started rolling out about 4 months after the Xbox 360 release, they were already very busy working on Burnout 5 (Later to become known as Burnout Paradise.) Well, seems like at least someone over there tried giving Burnout Revenge a shot at least. This build is has some significant performance issues, as was the case for many, MANY early PS3-lifecycle games since it was so incredibly difficult to program for it and most developers just opted to simply porting from a different platform onto the PS3, without utilising any of the unique special capabilities it had. Along with the performance issues, there are a couple audiovisual bugs too. While this game runs in 720p, I decided to double the resolution up to 1440p using FFmpeg with Lanczos. Initially I wanted to use Nearest, but that I think would've ended up looking bad in the long run. Hopefully this mitigates YouTubes increasingly stronger compression on lower resolution videos. (Modifying PARAM.SFO to allow 1080p only partially worked for the menus, it would immediately crash the moment I went in-game, likely because of failing to allocate enough VRAM) Thanks to JustAnyone for helping me with a couple things such as PS3 HDD recovery and so on. All in all, this was way more successful of an April Fools joke than I had initially expected.
