It is said that on the 1st of May many years ago, a mist descended on the Iron Mountain of Sliabh an Iarainn in County Leitrim and from this mist came the Tuatha Dé Danann. They ruled Ireland for over 400 years and when their reign was over they vanished back into the other world of Sliabh an Iarainn. At our dance club we regularly hear about traditions and the way people used to dance years ago vs today. One child questioned why we only ever hear about the dancers from a 100 or more years ago? What about Cú Chlainn or Queen Meabh, how did they dance? And this is what inspired our latest work. Enjoy! Áirc Damhsa Dance Club. Music by Jiggy (Skellig).
