As the capital of Finland, Helsinki is a Nordic foodie heaven full of delicious foods to try, including Finnish staples like mushrooms, berries, salmon, and rye bread. Finns are known for their love of nature so you'll find that the culinary scene here emphasizes where food comes from and how it's produced. In this video, I'm sharing seven of the best foods and restaurants in Helsinki from budget-friendly to splurge-worthy. We visit a sustainable restaurant called Ultima where you can experience the future of food production. The best cinnamon buns in Helsinki (with the most picturesque view) are at Cafe Regatta. If you want to splurge on an unforgettable meal of Finnish fine dining with a twist then dinner at Finnjävel is a must. You also have to try a bowl of salmon soup, which is traditional Finnish fare, and the bouillabaisse at the Market Hall which sells out early.
