2nd episode of an investigative series of documentaries about the military dictatorship in Myanmar between 1988 and 2010. In "Forced Labour" we reconstruct the system of forced labour, used mainly by the Myanmar Army during the confrontations with the many ethnics rebel groups. The documentary focusses on the Karenni ethnics and the fighting in what is now called Kayah State. We hear the story of the victims, witnesses and a former lieutenant-colonel, who used many forced labourers during his campaigns against the Karenni rebels.
