Submission to Criminals..I mean..Authorities?? The Gospel and Government Pt. 1 How many times have we heard people saying we should not resist the government? How many times have we heard it from Christians and then hear them quote from Romans 13 when Paul talks about Submission to authorities? Take a close look at what exactly he's saying, analyze it and you'll find that he's not quite saying what so many Christians tend to say. It's all about understanding. It's about going past the surface level and thinking deeper about what's being said. If a criminal creeps into a position of authority, or if an authority becomes a criminal are we still subject to following them? Of course not, and that's NOT what the word of God teaches. So to my Christian brothers and sisters out there, stand up, take hold of your responsibility and start loving your neighbors by resisting wickedness. That's not a suggestion from Jesus, that's a command. So Assume your Positions, Be Prepared, Be Righteous and be Relevant. God bless you guys, Peace.
