Interview with Nat Wood on 30 Frames a second Show New York City January 17, 2016 "And in like manner We disclosed them that they might know that the promise of Allah is true" 18:21 The word in 'Arabiyya (Arabic) that is translated as "disclosed" is 'athar (عثر) which means "he fell on, stumbled upon ". When I came across this meaning I couldn't help but to think of how I "fell" upon my roots. Many believe that I researched first then found my roots. No. I did research after I "fell upon it". This made me to know that as the ayah says "the promise of Allah is true". We were always taught that "The Lost and Found Nation of Islam MUST return to their own. " That's the "Promise" . Had I did the research first then unearthed it, then it would have been due to my efforts and Allah's permission of course. However, the fact that I "stumbled" upon it during the Holy Month of Ramadan made me to know "that the promise of Allah is true " because it was absolutely not of my own doing. My research only confirmed what Allah caused me to "stumble" upon. So I thank Allah every day for this tremendous blessing. I share this story often, not to give credit to myself but bear witness to Allah's mercy, beneficence and guidance. Alhamdulilahi rabbil al'amin.
