Ellie Fox 旅狐's video: Saitama Day in the Japanese countryside Hiking in Chichibu Tama Kai

Chiaki, Natsuki and I decided to take a break from the crowded and busy streets of Tokyo and went on a hiking trip to Chichibu Tama Kai, National park located in Saitama prefecture. We started at Ashigakubo station and continued our journey towards the Hyuuga Mountain. We also visited Yokozecho Noson Park to take a ride on the longest slide I have ever seen. The hike was fairly easy although the weather made it a bit challenging as we could not find the shadow from some time. Fortunately we found a little udon restaurant in the mountains where cute grandmas showed us how to make proper udon a la "inaka" (countryside). The view on top of the mountain was wonderful and peaceful. Hydrangeas were still growing at some places and you could hear the sound of cicadas everywhere you went.
