The predominant style is instrumental progressive rock with emphasis on the moog synthesizer, drums and bass in tracks The Spy, The Rising Sun, The Flying Caravel, and Telepaty. In these tracks Fritsch approaches his instrumental compositions performed with the Brazilian progressive rock band Apocalypse. Meanwhile, the composer opens up space for symphonic music in the tracks Sailing to the Edge Overture and The Wizard, electronic in the track Mind Uploading and new age in the song Floating Castle. All elements of Eloy Fritsch's music are featured on this album: synthesizer tones, beautiful melodies, majestic and energetic passages, drumbeats, percussion and large-scale electronic orchestration. It can be considered the most progrock album of the keyboardist with right to use the keytar in the songs Liberty and Alchemy. Fritsch also uses Moog Theremini to produce an electronic sound in the epic of more than 10 minutes titled The Time Barrier, last track of the album. The Sailing to the Edge CD was released in April 2017 with digital and physical distribution by major platforms on the internet.
