Elvenkind Gaming's video: Top 15 Survival Games For 2019

@Top 15 Survival Games For 2019
(Games not in any particular order, or any games valued above others, it's more a pick of all you can find out there, and all of them are popular games with steady fanbases. ) 15: Don't Starve - a game with 5 DLC already, all of them adding more of the originial simplified and quite charming style. I think it's a game that you either love or hate. I haven't gotten any major kick out of it. 14: Conan Exiles - In the Land of Hyboria this is the only fantasy game, with potentionally enourmous monsters. It got 8 expansion packs, but the ability to ride mounts have just been released for the whole game. You start crucified and have to build your way up fra this status. There's both PVE and PVP servers, and RP! 13: Subnautica - You crashland on a water-planet with an amazing ocean-life, from the shallows, with colorful fish and coral, to the black depths with horrible, giant monsters. Unlike other games almost everything happen in the water. That's where you find things of use to prolong the survival, and steadily more advanced tools. You build your base under water, and make crafts to speed up travel and reach lower depths. 12: Subnautica - Below Zero Similar to the above, only in an very cold water-planet. 11: Raft - Another Ocean World, only in this one you must stay on your raft, sharpen a spear to stab the shark that from time to time come to eat bit by bit of your raft and perhaps you get lucky and scare it away. You have a hook on a rope that you throw after driftwood, plastic, palm-leafs and barrels with lots of misc materials. And from this you enlarge your raft and build things vital for survival. You have to focus on one thing at the time. If you only collect, then you starve to death. If you don't collect fast enough, then you won't have the materials you need. 10: Stranded Deep - Heavily influenced by "Cast Away" with Tom Hanks. Plane crashland in the pacific and you, the only survivor have to go from island to island in rafts to collect resources. Some of these are on land, but the valuable things are in sunken shipwrecks around the islands and you share the water with 5 species of shark, but also several types of edible fish. In the tropics you easily get poisoned. As in the games above it's important to get built fireplace and a water-collector, to survive. You start with nothing, but eventually you can find a good large island to settle. 09: Force of Nature - a seemingly simple game, seen in 3rd person perspective and not as graphics rich as the other games listed, but it is in fact extremely grind-intensive in order to level up and get access to new things to build for yourself or in the base. 08: Rising World - A very good looking game, and the best "Minecraft variant" with good graphics. It's easy to survive. At least it used to be until they introduced bands of roaming bandits. You won't have problems with food and drink, but rather to get deep enough to get rare metals and make good armor and weapons. Some places there's ancient burial tombs with skeletal warriors. 07: Mist Survival - This game started with just 1 developer, but have been boosted with a team that delievered a upgrade that made the map new and have introduced a lot of clever things. There's lots of cars and signs of people no longer there. You need to collect car-parts where you can and fill up a can with petrol and get a car running. It's a totally deserted place, mostly forest, but also houses and shops with loot left behind after the apocalypse. Only in some bandit camps, can you find NPC's that help build up the base if you want... A lot of features. 06: Subsistence - Probably the hardest Survival game on the list. Also onle 1 Developer. As the players say: It's not a race, but a marathon to survive and build up a base. Here there's no civilization that have left loot, but just pure wilderness that you have to try to tame. 05: The Forest - Airplane Crash, loot the suitcases and whatever is in the cannibal villages, where the natives become more and more hostile, and attackers get mutants on their side. You got brains though and good survival skills. I reccommend building a treehouse near a fresh water pond the first night to sleep in peace. 04: Green Hell - A similar situation, only it's your wife that disapear, while you have to balance food, water, sanity etc. in the amazon forest. It thought it was too much bound to the story and not "open world", so I asked for a refund on Steam and have no more comments. 03: Rust - Unfortunately I was too slow to ask for a refund here. You have to be thickskinned, thrive in a toxic pvp eviroment where people kill and badmouth you for no reason. Also you have to have played thousands of hours. 02: No Man's Sky - Chances are that you start on a planet where none have been before. Hopefully not one that is both radioactive and toxic, on the beginner quest to fix your spaceship. 01: Minecraft - Probably more updates in 2018-2019, then all since 2009...
