Emeril’s recipe for Kid-Friendly BBQ Shrimp is an easy solution to dinner. Whether you’re looking for an extra set of hands in the kitchen, or have a little one that loves to help, these shrimp are so delicious. And more importantly, the whole family will enjoy them too! KID-FRIENDLY BBQ SHRIMP SERVES 6 2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined, about 42 2 tablespoons Baby Bam (recipe follows) 1 cup apple cider vinegar 1 cup ketchup 1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar 1 tablespoon molasses 1 tablespoon yellow mustard 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons minced garlic 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 2 tablespoons olive oil Biscuits, for serving, warmed (optional) Chopped chives, for garnish Place shrimp in a shallow dish. Sprinkle shrimp with Baby Bam to coat. Refrigerate while making the sauce. In a medium saucepan, combine vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, yellow mustard, Worcestershire, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Bring mixture to a simmer, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Allow sauce to simmer until slightly thickened, 10 to 15 minutes. Set aside. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. When the oil is hot, add the seasoned shrimp and cook, occasionally shaking the skillet, for 2 minutes. Add barbecue sauce, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes. Transfer shrimp to the center of a warm platter or 6 individual plates. Spoon sauce over shrimp and around perimeter of platter or plates. If serving with biscuits, arrange around shrimp, and garnish with chives. Serve immediately.   BABY BAM MAKES ABOUT ¾ CUP 3 tablespoons paprika 2 tablespoons salt 2 tablespoons dried parsley 2 teaspoons onion powder 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon dried basil 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon celery salt Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight jar or container for up to 3 months.
