Emily Mackey Art's video: My Surreal Self Portrait Painting Process

I ended up loving this painting. I hadn't done a self portrait in a long long time and this idea came into my head, combining elements of sky and water in a rene magritte kind of style. And i just decided to follow through with it FOR ONCE! I'm always like "this is a great idea I should do it!" and then I don't. But i want to change that this year. Just for your reference this is an oil painting on an 8x8 in. wooden panel (mdf board). The first layer you see me put down is acrylic paint so I have a base layer to work on top of, and then I moved to the oil paint once it dried so I could get some pretty blending on the water and the clouds.
