Burj Khalifa Standing as high as 829.8 meters (2,722 ft), it is still the highest man-made structure ever build since its commission in 2010. It used to be called Burj Dubai until inauguration to its current name in honor of the ruler of Abu Dhabi which also the President of UAE. 2. Shanghai Tower The highest twisted tower in the world, at 632 meters (2,073 ft). The shape of the building basically a building with footprint of triangle with rounded corners that twisted as height increases. The building costs 2.4 billion USD that took 6 years to construct (2008-2014), and officially opened in February 2015. 3. Abraj Al-Bait Abraj Al-Bait is an Arabic words for "The Tower of the House" that colloquially known as Mecca Royal Clock Tower. It sits next to Masjid Haram, the place where the biggest pilgrimage in the world happen annually called Hajj. It also has 4 equally large clocks with diameter of 43 meter. 4. Ping An International Finance Centre This is a office skyscraper with retail space on its foot, a typical building design as city landmark which initiated by Petronas Towers, the world's tallest twin towers. Ping An completed construction in 2016 and scheduled for commission in 2017. Together with Kingkey 100 and China Resources Headquarters, they become a symbol of Guangdong rapid progress and prosperity. 5. Lotte World Tower A newly-commissioned megatall located next to Lotte World, a amusement park in Seoul. It's a mixed purpose and has an observation deck between level 117 to 123. Plan to build started 13 years ago with groundbreaking ceremony happened in November 2011 and completed construction in 2016. 6. One World Trade Center Built on top of former WTC 6 footprint, the building also called Freedom Tower with height resembling United States year gaining Independence; 1,776 feet (541 meter). The building owned by Silverstein Properties, designed by David Childs, with a price-tag of 3.9 Billion USD. 7. CTF Finance Centre Guangzhou being a world-class warehouse city for made-in-China goods city has booming at unprecedented rate in the past 10 years. Along with Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre, Guangzhou also home to seven supertalls (building with height taller than 300 meters). 8. Taipei 101 Lost its tallest building title to Burj Khalifa in 2004, this iconic building in Taiwan manifests Taiwan boldness in order to gain the title by construct in in seismic and typhoon-prone zone. The building with architectural heights of 509 meters endowed with giant steel ball to dampen tower swaying movements caused by strong winds and earthquakes. 9. Shanghai World Financial Center One of three prominent skyscraper in prime location of Shanghai: Lujiazui. This megatall was Shanghai most prominent skyscraper since 2008 before overtaken by Shanghai Tower that opened in 2015. Do you know that a hole on top floors of original design was a round shape but rejected by Chinese due to resemblance of Japanese flag? Hence the rectangle shape a final design. 10. International Commerce Centre Hong Kong as city with the most skyscrapers in the world should have a representative in this list.
