EJ Leyco's video: Janine Tugonon - Miss Universe 2012 1st Runner Up

Last December 19, 2012, Janine Tugonon proved her critics and detractors that it was not a mistake to crown her this year's Miss Universe Philippines for she placed second after Miss USA at the recently concluded Miss Universe 2012 Beauty Pageant. Early in the competition, it was evident that Janine was among the favorites in this year's pageant, earning the loudest cheers and claps. Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike were dismayed at the result of the competition believing that she was indeed the rightful winner. Nevertheless, her Filipino kababayans are proud of her since she did her very best in the said pageant. This is the 3rd consecutive year the Philippines placed in the competition and all three were top 5 finalists. 2010, Philippines was 5th. 4th in 2011 and now 2nd in 2012. Janine had a similar fate with Miriam Quiambao, the country's bet to Miss Universe 1999 held in Trinidad & Tobago who was also the 1st Runner Up in that year's competition.
