Caitlin Padgett - Para Rider's video: Headcollar Training With Bellamy

Doing a bit of catch up training with Bellamy. He offered this behaviour himself initially so I began to shape it. I didn't intend to train today (hence my attire lol) so I didn't bring my clicker along, but we did okay without it As you can see we didn't progress to fully putting the headcollar on. He will allow me to do this but I would prefer to have him more relaxed with a lower head before I start adding in the headpiece being done up as a trained behaviour. In case people don't know, Bellamy has been through a bit of abuse in his life and little things set him back. He does let me catch him perfectly well but even nearly 2 years into owning him he still gives off stress signs when I do so, hence this training. I don't think he'll ever be "normal" but I want to give him as much confidence as I can.
