When we try standing out as a small Youtuber and need to pick a Youtube niche, we pidgeonhole ourselves into one word niches - tech, travel, vlog, tutorial etc....instead of realizing that the throughlines we need to not confuse our audience, it's up to us to write those throughlines. To connect those dots for our viewers. It's up to us to make our story clear and compelling to the audience. And it takes more than just "being ourselves" to make our story clear and compelling to an audience. It takes some intentional investment in our self awareness, communication and storytelling.
