Gymnastics is a dangerous, scary sport, not for the faint hearted!!! All gymnasts experience what look like scary moments....generally they are not !!!................... If you are well trained, physically fit and healthy and very experienced you don't generally get hurt very often. If you'd like a few tips I would say make sure you eat a well balanced diet to insure that your inner foundations are in good shape i.e. keeping your bones strong etc. Keep your body in good shape i.e. a well conditioned, strong, flexible body. Know your limitations and be confident in your abilities and the skills you know well....go for stuff with confidence. Be sensible in your assessment of what you are planning on doing and work within boundaries you feel comfortable with. And I think the most important thing is to be relaxed when something doesn't go to plan, let it happen there's nothing you can do to change things in mid-air....especially don't panic ! and tense up, you are more likely to cause an injury if you do. Sometimes it helps to have quick reflexes or an exit plan just depends what you are doing. Know your abilities, do things with a focused mind and full confidence and don't let slip ups put you off or distract your mind. Have fun and go for it !!! Really GOOD LUCK !!!
