Erifilly111's video: Erifilly At British Trampoline DMT Championships 2015

This video was taken in September at the Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline Championships 2015. We had such an awesome time in Liverpool; it’s such a great city and it’s really cool around the docks where the arena is. We went up to Liverpool a day early so we could take a boat trip across the River Mersey , visit some museums and take a walk around the city centre; which was very educational, informative, great fun and exciting. And then it was time for the Championships, time for everyone to get nervous and compete. Well Done to British Gymnastics, who always put on a great show at the Echo Arena, Liverpool. The competition was as exciting as ever for all the gymnasts and was as up and down as always. Erifilly was excited to compete, especially as she hadn’t been to many competitions this year. Trampoline saw her compete two new routines, some of which ended up to be a bit dodgy, so she ended up in 4th place, a bit disappointing for her, but new routines can be a bit unpredictable. Sometimes you have to be happy to have competed and look to and plan for the future and decide how you want to approach that; everything can become a positive learning experience. DMT went really well, again a couple of new passes and all successfully completed, a great performance, Erifilly was really happy to win the Gold Medal again. It always makes the hard work and dedication feel rewarded when things go so well. Some of you will know that we have always promoted DMT and encouraged people to take part, and it has always meant so much to Erifilly and been awesome for her; well sadly Erifilly isn’t doing DMT any more at present, some of you will know why. We all have standards and beliefs that we live by. And yes, gymnastics sports are very often unfair and you do have to lump it or leave it sometimes; and you have to decide how much inadequacy you are prepared to ignore. DMT has fallen from grace and it’s not something Erifilly can be a part of right now. Some people live pretentious lives surrounded by lies, to themselves and other and are happy to do so, I think that’s cos they are scarred of the truth and standing up for what is right. It’s like they would rather image they and everything is OK, acceptable, beautiful etc and would rather go along with things and simple put up with it .We all have to consider what is really important to us in life and be honest and true to ourselves. Sports are great and exciting and its brilliant to do things in life with passion and love, but it’s sad when they are not run to an appropriate standard and fully consider the people involved. But then, we also need to know and say that there are obviously way more important things in life. When Erifilly switched from artistic to trampoline and DMT things were so much nicer, everything was run in a much better way and the atmosphere at the Championships was really awesome with everyone from all the clubs competing together, the ethics of it and the psychology was so great and considerate to all; and she was really pleased to be taking part in that and it’s vibrancy. Unluckily, shortly after Erifilly switched things started to change and they have tried to make it all much more like artistic and it’s just got the same old negative factors mixed in. Whoever is in charge of all the changes hasn’t thought it all through carefully enough and it’s not moving forward in a completely positive or intelligent way. Hopefully things will change again into the next Olympic cycle or at least improve. They really need some people, in the mix, with a better understanding of psychology and how to effectively develop the gymnasts to their full potential and consider everyone. I wish more people would speak out and say how they feel and up the standards of things in general, but I understand clearly why people have a problem with that; And how all of us are controlled and manipulated to a certain extent, we all know there are many games played and many politics involved.
