Hey guys! In a stunning turn of events, 3am writing binges, and deeming the thesaurus as my best friend, I wrote something! I’m quite nervous to share Truth Weekend with you, but I couldn’t be more proud of it and I wish I could write in Skye’s voice for the rest of my life. Don’t feel shy about leaving a review. Maybe I craved the indispensability of being an addiction. The type of girl people cracked open their chest and handed their dignity to. No questions asked. I know I’m not ugly. Creepy old men hit on me all the time and I also have eyes and own a mirror, but that’s not the point. I needed to be more than some pornographic cliché: naïve ex-catholic school girl dreams of rebellion so she consumes every drug in existence and ravages the hottest straight girl in school. Well, fuck that and a bag of chips. As I was ringing up another customer, I spotted the infamous and peculiar Rosemary Holloway and strained to dissect her flaws. Devastating face, but not a curve in sight. Permanently aloof expression with dopey grey eyes and her teeth were just slanted enough that you could tell she never had braces, but she was unattainable nonetheless. “Hey Stranger, I didn’t know you still worked here.” Rosemary beamed, placing her groceries on the conveyer belt. “Yeah, well someone has to clean the toilets properly and the ungodly hours keep my drug dependency at bay so that’s a perk.”
