A short instructional video on how to light charcoal discs for loose incense from www.ritualscent.com 1] Place a charcoal disc in a fire-proof and heatproof container. Line the container with a layer of ash, sand, or gravel can be used as a base. 2] Carefully hold a lit match or another flame to the edge of the charcoal disc for a few seconds. It will start to spark and crackle. 3] Allow a couple of minutes for the disc to completely ignite. It will glow red at the edges and a layer of ash will start to form. There should not be any flames. 4] Place one piece of incense on the charcoal disc and enjoy the smoke. Please take care when using lit charcoal and never leave it unattended. The charcoal will continue to burn for some time.
