We had a fabulous journey to this scenic Home Country of the US 1st lady Melania Trump. Although a small country of 2.8 million, it's one of the picturesque countries in Europe & has the strongest economy in the Balkan region. The Capital City of Ljubljana is very lively & colorful w/ an admix of medieval & modern structures. It's a very relaxed town w/ a riverside outdoor open seating cafes. The curving Ljubljana river is criss-crossed by beautifully designed bridges. An 11th century Fortress Castle sits atop a hill right at downtown serving as a key landmark of the city. It offers spectacular 360* degree breathtaking view of the city. Slovenia is noted for its mountains & resorts. The most popular one is the town of Bled at the foot of the Julian Alps in the north. There are towering cliffs w/ 11th century castle atop and a beautiful lake w/ an Islet in the middle occupied by an17th century church that is still in service. You can take a traditional Pletna boat to the small island to ring the church bell to make your wish come true. The freshness & serenity of the surroundings is very relaxing with a romantic atmosphere
