Essem's video: Sonic 2 August 21st 1992 prototype - Special Stage Remnants

@Sonic 2 (August 21st, 1992 prototype) - Special Stage Remnants
**WARNING: FLASHING LIGHTS!!!** Recorded from Kega Fusion v3.64. This is a recording of the (very unstable) special stages in the recently found August 21st, 1992 prototype of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. At around 1:47, you can see what happens when you exit one. Excerpt from this prototype's page on The Cutting Room Floor: Unlike previous builds, the Special Stage can be accessed in this build - but there's a catch. It will only load on the Kega Fusion emulator (and some other low accuracy emulators, including most Android emulators), and not modern emulators such as Genesis Plus GX or BlastEm. Presumably, it will not load on real hardware either - it seems to be an emulation error. It appears to be a very, very, *very* corrupted version of the Sonic 1 Special Stage. Though you can make out what's going on, the graphics are corrupted, so everything's pretty hard to see. It plays the Casino Night music. Hitting a goal block triggers a blue screen playing Chemical Plant's music. It's possible that the developers re-enabled the Special Stage because were planning to begin working on implementing the new one at this point. https://tcrf.net/Proto:Sonic_the_Hedgehog_2_(Genesis)/August_21st,_1992 Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheEssem
