Said The Maiden at The Harrison on 6 February 2020. The band is from left to right, Minnie Birch, Jess Distill and Kathy Pilkinton. Back in 2017 it was the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare and Jess had the idea of doing something to celebrate his work, so The Company of Players was formed. They are a group of artists in the UK folk scene including Chris Cleverly, Kim Lowings, Daria Kulesh, Kelly Oliver and Sam Kelly. They wrote news songs inspired by the plays of Shakespeare and recorded an album, Shakespeare Songs. This song was written by Minnie and was inspired by A Midsummer Nights Dream. As the man says as the end, 'That was beautiful.'
