Die Kunst ist seine Königsdisziplin: Kunsthistoriker, Schriftsteller, bildender Künstler und seit 2019 Direktor der Tiroler Landesmuseen – das ist Peter Assmann. In Zams geboren, absolviert Assmann zunächst ein Studium der Kunstgeschichte, Geschichte und Germanistik in Innsbruck, bevor ihn seine Tätigkeit an zahlreiche Kunstschauplätze im In- und Ausland führt. Im Jahr 2015 wird er zum Direktor des Palazzo Ducale in Mantua ernannt, nun ist er nach Nordtirol zurückgekehrt, voller Tatendrang.
