European Patent Office's video: 3D printing: navigating infringement and rethinking IP strategies highlights 2

@3D printing: navigating infringement and rethinking IP strategies (highlights #2)
Take a quick look at the highlights from day two of our very first digital 3D printing conference: • Thomas Prock suggested using a bundle of intellectual property rights to protect 3D printing technologies. • Professor Rosa Maria Ballardini discussed sustainability and 3D printing • Virginie Fossoul looked at findings from the European Commission's study on additive manufacturing. • Heli Pihlajamaa spoke on ethical and legal considerations in bioprinting. • Stephan Wolke discussed business models in the 3D printing field. • The panel answered the question: is the intellectual property system equipped to deal with a rapidly advancing technology like 3D printing? The European Patent Office (EPO) and European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) jointly hosted a digital conference to focus on the challenges and opportunities presented by 3D printing. Over the course of four days, legal experts, inventors, investors, and academics discussed this technology in the context of intellectual property rights. This is the first time the two organisations have collaborated for a digital conference. For more, please visit: epo.org/3d-printing ►Follow us on INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/europeanpat...
