A radar sensor on the front of the vehicle has a range of up to 650 feet and monitors the distance between your vehicle and those ahead of it “in the same lane”. When the space between cars reaches a predefined distance the system will slow you down to the speed of traffic, maintaining a safe gap. When one of the vehicles changes lanes and space opens up your car will accelerate back up to the preset speed. With the “Stop & Go” function the system will bring the car to a stop if necessary. If the vehicle has only been stopped momentarily it will drive on when possible. This system can help increase safety and driver comfort when driving in heavy traffic.
