Evenstar Saima's video: First Time Paragliding Malibu California

@First Time Paragliding! 🪂 Malibu, California
I was born to fly, apparently 😜🪂 I loved it! My instructor was Claude Fiset - cool dude. Highly recommend. Claude is such an experienced and chill guy that I felt completely relaxed and confident in my safety. It was smooth and actually quite peaceful! (I guess partly in thanks to wind conditions). Our take-off was from about 2800ft high and was one of his most graceful in his words - I made sure to pay attention to Claude’s instructions and follow them which made everything easier. We gained height up to 3000ft and I got amazing views and was able to use my own camera. Claude even asked if I’d like to use the controls for the glider because he sensed I was confident enough and I did! It was so fun. For landing, we got to Malibu beach and I was prepared to apologise to the beach goers for crashing into their tent but Claude made sure that didn’t happen 😅 it was so gentle! The flight was timed perfectly by Claude, it was 30 minutes, so my sister and her husband could drive back down and get to the beach spot to film us landing. All in all - a great ride. I wanna go again! The hardest part of the experience was actually getting to the take off site (mine was in Los Flores Canyon overlooking Malibu), Claude joined us in our car with his gear (as well as his previous client as her car was parked up there for her own flight) and we drove up the steep and very narrow road (no barriers either which was scary) and then I had to trek down a short path by foot to one of the take off sites which can be quite tricky and slippery (sand/rocks/bushes) so be prepared - wear good grip trainers or boots and protective clothing. It's not disneyland! We heard rattle snakes up there. And plenty of wasps/bees too. _________________________________________ Note: All audio used in this presentation do not belong to me and are copyrighted (©) to their respective owners.
