Everloving Records's video: Adam Topol - Live at Zebulon August 21

@Adam Topol - Live at Zebulon August 21
You're listening to "Cuando" the title track from Adam Topol's forthcoming album. There’s a reason you haven’t heard of Adam Topol. He’s been quietly focused on keeping time for Jimmy Cliff at The Roman Coliseum or Ziggy Marley on the North Shore of Oahu. He’s been sampled by David Gilmour, was in a band with Joey Santiago of the Pixies, and has been making beats with Jack Johnson since forever. His early Cuban folkloric project Ritmo Y Canto, dub reggae project Culver City Dub Collective and jazz album "Blue Painted Walls in Far Away Places" all allowed him to write, orchestrate the players and sit at the back of the stage. But this time he has something to say. Returning with “Cuando” - 10 songs produced by Matt Costa with Adam front and center; His surprising confidence and delivery as a singer and songwriter will surely place him among the ranks of those he has studied. He received a formal jazz education at Berklee College of Music under Alan Dawson (Lionel Hampton, Quincy Jones, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Bill Evans, Sonny Rollins, Dave Brubeck, and others.). Post-Berklee he studied Latin percussion at Havana’s Escuela Nacional de Arte, which included hands on instruction from genre defining Cuban percussionists. Join Adam and special guests for an album release party at Zebulon Cafe - Concert August 21, 2019
