Something to try in Bangkok is bugs. And by "try" I mean "eat". Khao San road is the centre of the backpacking universe. It is both a traveller's dream and nightmare rolled into one. But given that we only had one night in Bangkok on our 3-day journey home to Barbados, it makes sense that Khao San road is where we ended up. There really is no place like it in the world, and no better place to spend one night in Bangkok... and likely no better place to eat bugs either. Our journey home for Christmas was supposed to take us three days and four flights, but we had some challenges along the way. Thankfully, we still managed to find a way to make it there before Santa.
