Evil Sorcerer's video: Jaku Geliga Iban Simunjan

@Jaku Geliga Iban Simunjan
Jaku Geliga recited by Numpang Jugu during a ceremony to observe the coming of the Harvest Festival known as "Mantar Gawai" held at SK Gawang Empili primary school. Jaku Geliga is a custom of the Iban people and is usually recited during pre-Harvest Festivals events to give blessing for the community who anticipates the coming of the Harvest Festival itself (as the festival day draws nearer). Harvest Festival is also known as Ari Gawai by the Iban and is celebrated on June 1 every year in Malaysia, a major celebration by the people. Ibans are a Dayak sub-ethnic, the people who are indigenous to Borneo island. SK Gawang Empili primary school is located in the Simunjan sub-district, which is also located in the Malaysian state of Sarawak. Video taken May 7, 2015
