Evin Gualberto's video: Al Jefferson - Fantastic Footwork Postup Powerhouse Late Career Highlights

@Al Jefferson - Fantastic Footwork/Postup Powerhouse (Late Career Highlights)
Al Jefferson. 2014 All-NBA Third Team. Big Al was drafted by the Celtics, then had stops in Minnesota, Utah, and Charlotte before ending his career in Indiana. He was a walking 20 point - 10 rebound threat every game after leaving Boston. His first season in Charlotte was the one where he garnered All-NBA Third Team honors and led the Bobcats to only their second playoff appearance since 2002. With his back to the basket, there was very little defenders could do to stop Big Al. Jefferson just jammed guys in the post and then he’d put them in the torture chamber - something he learned (and perhaps perfected) under the tutelage of arguably the greatest post player of all-time in Kevin McHale. Al Jefferson in the post was so tantalizing because while his touch around the tin was terrific, it was hardly textbook; the technique seemed the perfect blend of push shot and hook, his pump fake perpetually punished defenders and forced them to jump out of their shoes…which forever confused coaches and viewers alike because the Al Jefferson jumper was never the prettiest sight to see. His bevy of brilliant moves - the up & under, the turnaround, the double pivot, the drop step, the sweeping hook, the face-up, everything was built around utilizing every possible angle and getting his guys out of position - all so he could get back to his right because his attack was ALWAYS so AGGRESSIVELY right hand dominant. This video is nearly 10 minutes long - there is ONE left handed field goal attempt. Big Al was once the best player Minnesota got back in the Kevin Garnett deal. In fact, his first year with the Wolves, with the guidance of HALL OF FAMER Kevin McHale, he LEAD the league in 2 point field goals. This is what that top 10 looked like in 2007-08: 1. Al Jefferson - 721 T2. Carlos Boozer - 709 - Third Team All-NBA T2. Amare Stoudemire - 709 - Second Team All-NBA 3. LeBron James - 681 - First Team All-NBA 4. Carmelo Anthony - 670 - NBA All-Star 5. Monta Ellis - 640 6. Kobe Bryant - 625 - MOST VALUABLE PLAYER 7. David West - 623 - NBA All-Star 8. Allen Iverson - 617 - NBA All-Star 9. Tim Duncan - 585 - Second Team All-NBA 10. Dwight Howard - 583 - First Team All-NBA Special shoutouts to: @memoismoney @GD's Latest Highlights @FreeDawkins (the GOAT) @ChapBPlay NBA Highlights @zhugelianges @DownToBuck Without their TERRIFIC resources, this video doesn't get made.
