EvolutionMotorSport's video: Evolution MotorSports EVOMS Upgrades the 2011 GT3 RS

Upgrading the already phenomenal 2011 Porsche 997 GT3 RS is not an easy task. Increasing its power and handling characteristics is not as easy as slapping some parts on it and send it on its way. The owner of the car is a track enthusiast and wanted the engine to perform while the handling to improve before his next track event. He dropped the car off and allowed us to work our magic. Phase 1: More Power - We installed a newly designed header and sport muffler system with HJS catalysts. The system dramatically improves HP and TQ while saving ~11 pounds of weight and adds an intoxicating sound to already amazing sounding GT3RS. The complete power package also included a BMC air filter and a custom "Intelligent Tuning" ECU software calibration to tie the complete engine performance system together. Total power to the wheels was increased by 32 HP and 35 TQ bringing the overall power of this beast to over 485 HP and 350 TQ. Simply Amazing!!! Phase 2: Suspension - The chassis was setup by EVOMS' Shop Manager / Race director Robert Boreham. Roberts's experience as a Factory trained Porsche Technician as well as a race director for many professional teams as a chassis specialist has allowed him the years of experience to properly setup the suspension on this already amazing handling car. He utilizes the feedback from the customer combined with his own track experience working with factory Porsche Cup cars to dial in the suspension just right for both on and off track driving. He uses our in house Beissbarth laser alignment machine (Used by many German OEM's and race teams throughout the world) to set the car up to his liking. He then corner balanced the car using the drivers weight and 1/2 of a tank of fuel to further align and dial in the suspension until it was perfect. This is a true art and Roberts's chassis setups are second to none. The proof is in the pudding so they say and the customer will report back after he spends this weekend at the track with his freshly prepared Evolution MotorSports GT3RS. Enjoy!
