Excelsior Entertainments's video: Dovecliffe Woods - 40 Steps Footbridge Drone

The subject of this video is what is known locally as the 40 Steps Footbridge and it is located in Woods near to the site of the former Dovecliffe Railway Station and Barrow Pit sidings close to The footage was collated while observing the rules and advice. In its time the bridge was used to cross the great central railway line and walking over it is almost a single file exercise in itself (so at this time social distancing needs to be observed) The bridge is accessed either from the old sidings on one side or as you approach the access road to Warwick Ward Machinery you will see a public footpath sign that leads down an incline into the woods and down to the bridge. The 40 Steps Footbridge crosses what used to be the Midland Railway Wharnecliffe Branch Line.
