This could be something like a custom circle battery icon in the Status Bar. . .having the AM/PM indicator next to the time. . .double tapping on the Status Bar to lock the phone. . .or any of the other features we normally see added to these ROMs. We can add features like this to any supported Google Pixel smartphone with the help of an LSPosed Module called Pixel Xpert. This module does require us to have the bootloader unlocked so that we can gain root access to it. It also requires us to have the Zygisk version of LSPosed Framework installed as well. If you aren't familiar with any of that, and would like some help, then please check the video descripition below as I'll have links to dedicated videos I have done that show you how to set all of that up. Now before we get into the video today, I want to highlight the sponsor of today's video. PlayStoreSales.com is a great resource for finding the latest and best Android app and games sales in the Google Play Store. The website is updated every weekday with new apps and games on sale so check it out and let me know what you think. So after you have installed and setup LSPosed Framework. . .which again, I have a video on if you need help setting that up. Then we need to download and install the Pixel Xpert module. This is downloaded from the official GitHub page, which I'll be linking do in the video description as well. You'll need to launch the Magisk app, tap on the Modules tap down here. And then tap the Install from Storage button. This will bring you to a file explorer page where you will browse to where you downloaded the PixelXpert ZIP file. Then after it has been installed, reboot the Google Pixel device so that the module can be activated properly. When the phone boots back up, you'll want to launch the LSPosed Framework application. And then make sure the PixelXpert module has been activated there as well. This will likely require another reboot, though, so be prepared for that. Once the phone boots back up you should have everything setup properly. Now we just want to find the PixelXpert application icon so we can launch it and begin customizing our Google Pixel 8 here. The features will be categorized like you may have seen in other custom ROMs. But we also have a way to search through the features as well, which can be faster if you aren't exactly sure where to look. I have found some really great customization features tucked away in the PixelXpert app. Personally, I like seeing the AM/PM indicator in the Status Bar. And I like being able to double tap the Status Bar to lock the phone. There are many features that I miss from custom ROMs and now I won't have to move away from the stock Pixel firmware in order to get some of them. I have noticed that some of these features will take a minute or so until they appear. For example, if I were to enable or diable the AM/PM indicator, then I've noticed the Status Bar will not add or remove it until the OS has refreshed it. Which usually happens when the clock updates to the next minute. So be sure to check out PixelXpert if you currently own a Google Pixel smartphone or tablet. The setup process is quite easy once you get LSPosed installed and setup. And I really do enjoy having some of the features I've missed from the days when I used custom ROMs. Step by Step Tutorial ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Intro [00:00] 2.
