And finally, tap the "Subscribe" button [02:31] Google Podcasts has been out for a while but the company has yet to make it as feature-packed as its competition. One glaring omission was the ability to add a podcast to the application that wasn't already available in Google's own repository. Thankfully, the feature has been added but it isn't very intuitive at all. To start, you'll need to find the RSS feed of the podcast you wish to add to the Google Podcasts application. I first look for this by searching for the website of the podcast itself. Some (but not all) of these will freely display an "rss," "feed," or "rss feed" type of link on the page. Sadly, not all publishers do this as some would rather you just use their application/website. In those cases, searching the web for the name of the podcast, followed by the words "rss feed" (not in quotes) is a good way of finding the URL of the RSS feed for the podcast you want to manually subscribe to. With that RSS feed in hand, we can then open up the application itself and look for the "Activity" tab in the bottom navigation bar. From here, look in the top tab bar and select the "Subscriptions" tab. This will give you a list of all the podcasts you're currently subscribed to in the Google Podcasts application. But we need to look at the top right corner and tap the 3-dot menu icon to reveal the overflow menu. Now, we can tap the "Add by RSS Feed" option and paste the link we copied earlier. In the pop-up box, you should see a subscribe button that you can tap (once you have filled in the URL of the feed itself). Tapping this "subscribe" button should instantly add the podcast subscription to your Google Podcasts application.
