Intro [00:00] 2. Increase Touch Screen Sensitivity Toggle [02:40] 3. Google's Official Suggestions [04:04] The Google Pixel 4a launched with some touchscreen responsiveness issues. I previously did a video about it in September of last year in hopes to help some people who were experiencing the issue. Since December though, new owners of the Google Pixel 4a 5G have begun reporting an issue with their own units as well. Many people have noticed issues trying to tap buttons and icons that are residing near the edge of the screen. As it turns out, Google is having issues with its palm rejection algorithm. The company has offered two suggestions as a workaround for the bug but claims it will not be fixed until the February 2021 security update. Until then, I recommend you try enabling the Increase Touch Sensitivity option as mentioned in the video. At least until the new OTA update begins to roll out.
