Maybe you don't want your friends to know you're playing some super casual mobile game. . .or maybe you just don't want your child to open a specific application. Thankfully, Samsung Galaxy devices with the One UI firmware installed can hide these 3rd-party applications and their icons from both the Home Screen as well as the Application Drawer. We can do this with our Samsung Galaxy S23 here by first performing a long-press gesture on any empty spot of the Home Screen. From here, we're going to tap on Settings. Then we need to look for the Hide Aps on Home and Apps Screen feature. And this is where we can hide any of our 3rd-party applications. We just need to tap the application that we want to hide, and you'll see it move from the list at the bottom to the selection at the top. This will give you a quick visual indication as to which apps are currently marked as hidden and which apps are not. So here we have the Chrome application. You can see it here on the Home Screen and it's right there in the Application Drawer as well. But we can hide this by going back to that menu. And simply tapping on the Chrome app so that it is added to the list at the top. Now, when we go back to our Home Screen. We can see the application is no longer there. And when we go to the Application Drawer, we can see it isn't there either. Yes, we can still find it by browsing through the Apps menu from within the Settings application. But most people are only going to snoop through your Home Screen or App Drawer, so this feature can help out a lot. I would even recommend going as far as to create a custom Google Assistant Routine. . .or a Bixby Routine. . .that will launch an application or game that you have hidden. That will make it much easier to open. . .so you won't have to go through the Apps page within the Settings application just to open it up. There are a number of ways to hide applications and their icons on Android but having Samsung build this feature directly into One UI is really convenient. I would like to see them update this so that we can hide pre-installed apps as well. . .but I am not sure if they'll be able to add it. Step by Step Tutorial ~~~~~ 1. Intro [00:00] 2.
